I What is Madagascar BSC certification?

According to the Madagascar Decree No. 01/MFB/SG/DGD issued on March 23, 2007, all goods sent to Madagascar are required to apply for the New Cargo Tracking Note, CTN certification document, which also becomes the BSC certification document.

The Madagascar authorities require the shipper to apply for BSC mainly to facilitate the identification, control, protection, prediction, and tracking of imported goods by the Madagascar authorities.

Goods sent to Madagascar, regardless of their value and type, need to apply for BSC certification, otherwise it may result in the goods being unable to clear customs at the destination port or being fined by the customs authorities of Madagascar.

II How to apply for BSC certification in Madagascar?

The required materials for obtaining BSC certification in Madagascar are:

1. Scanned copy of INVOICE invoice (stamped with SHIPPER seal)

2. Bill of Lading Scanned Copy

3. Scanned copy of export goods declaration form
